Terms of Use

These terms apply to AI Note Taker, an iOS app made by Anatolii Katsurko. By using the app you accept them.

What the app does

It records meetings, calls and voice notes, transcribes them, and writes a summary with action items. It can also work from an audio file, a YouTube link or text you paste.

Recording other people is your responsibility

Laws about recording conversations differ from country to country and from state to state. In many places every participant must agree to being recorded before the recording starts. You are responsible for knowing the rules that apply to you and for obtaining consent. The app gives you a microphone; it cannot know who is in the room.

Transcripts and summaries can be wrong

Transcription and summarisation are done by an automated model. It mishears words, it can attribute a sentence to the wrong person, and a summary can leave out something that mattered. Check anything you intend to rely on against the recording. Do not use the output as the sole basis for a decision with legal, financial or medical consequences.

Free use and subscriptions

• Without a subscription you can transcribe up to 10 minutes of audio every 30 days. Notes made from pasted text and from documents do not count against that.
• A subscription removes the limit. The exact price, period and any free trial are shown on the purchase screen before you buy, in your own currency.
• Subscriptions renew automatically. Apple charges the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that moment.
• Cancel at any time in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
• If a free trial is offered and you subscribe during it, any unused part of the trial ends at that moment.
• Payments and refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Refund requests go to Apple.

Your content is yours

Your recordings, transcripts and notes belong to you. You give us permission to process them only in order to provide the service described above — to transcribe, summarise, index for search and answer your questions about a note. We do not use your content to train models.

Fair use

Do not use the app to record people unlawfully, to process content you have no right to, or to attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service. Automated or abnormal use may be rate-limited: the app is a tool for one person, not a transcription pipeline.

No warranty

The app is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption, that transcription will be accurate, or that it will fit a particular purpose. Processing depends on third-party services that can fail or change.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including loss of recordings, loss of notes, or decisions made on the basis of an inaccurate transcript. Because recordings are stored on your device and can be lost with it, keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Ending use

You can stop using the app at any time and delete it. We may suspend access that breaks these terms or endangers the service.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version.
