AI Note Taker is made by Anatolii Katsurko, an individual developer. This policy describes exactly what the app does with your data. It is short because the app collects little.
The app does not ask for your name, your email address or your Apple ID. The first time you open it, it generates a random identifier on your device and uses that as your account. We cannot connect your notes to you as a person.
Audio you record, and audio files you import, are stored in the app's own storage on your device. We do not keep a copy after the transcript has been produced. You can see how much space the recordings take, and delete any of them, in Settings → Recordings. Deleting a recording does not delete the note it produced.
Transcripts, summaries, note titles, recording lengths and the messages you write in a note's chat are stored in our database and linked to your device identifier, so that your notes are there when you open the app again. Nothing else is stored.
Subscriptions are sold and charged by Apple. We never see your card or your Apple ID. Subscription status is handled by Adapty, which receives your device identifier and the purchase confirmation from Apple in order to tell our server whether your subscription is active.
The app can report crashes through Sentry so that failures can be found and fixed. A crash report contains technical information about the failure — it never contains the text of your notes or your recordings.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and the app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs.
A note stays until you delete it. Deleting a note in the app removes its transcript, summary and chat from our database, and removes its audio from your device. Deleting the app removes the recordings stored on the device.
Write to us at katsurkoanatolii@gmail.com and we will send you a copy of everything stored for your account, or delete all of it. To find your account we need its identifier: use Settings → Contact us in the app and it will be filled in for you automatically.
The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
